RISING IMAGES . . .
is the outgrowth of a life-long interest and hobby of photographer Ron Rising.
Ron is a "self taught" photographer and continues to learn along the way as he takes on new challenges and makes new discoveries. He has always enjoyed taking pictures, from his student days when he spent a year in Thailand and traveled around the world.

Ron's equipment has advanced beyond the first 35 mm camera he bought in Hong Kong. But the experience of capturing new scenes on film, and of sharing them with others remains just as exciting and enjoyable--if not more so!

In 1995, Ron expanded his viewing public, up to then composed of family and friends, by exhibiting and selling his work at a local church bazaar. That was the beginning of "Rising Images", which is now a side business that is taking on a life of its own.

Ron's photography is now available through local shows and shops, as well as through the internet and mail order. His work is finding its way into homes, offices and businesses.

Ron's professional life, when he's not taking pictures, has been in the area of ministry, counseling, and health promotion. Photography has been a creative outlet that has been therapeutic and spiritual for both him and others. His greatest joy comes from capturing the beauty of God's creation, and sharing it with others.
